Job Description
The Director of Consulting Services plays a central role at Bursting Silver to ensure everything is running smoothly. You are involved in almost every aspect of delivering services to clients for the organization. The Director of Consulting Services executes effective long-term strategies to optimize the company’s delivery operations. This includes implementing efficient workflows, monitoring day-to-day operations, and managing relationships with clients and partners.
Requirements, Technical Skills And Qualifications
Key Experience Requirements
Director of Consulting Services candidates should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in a project management role or similar position. They should also have a minimum of five years’ experience in a management or leadership role in a similar industry to prepare them for the role. Like most Director positions, Director of Consulting Services candidates usually move into the role from a Senior Management position.

The Director of Consulting Services needs to have a strong understanding of business operations, management, and consulting as well as have the following prerequisite skills and qualifications to be successful:

Responsibilities & Duties
The Director of Consulting Services reports to the Bursting Silver COO and is responsible for the oversight the Bursting Silver Delivery teams. In particular, the Project Managers and Business Leads of each team report directly to the Director of Consulting Services. In this role, the successful individual will analyze every facet of the project and support delivery business to understand how to improve problematic areas and will:
Work closely with our delivery teams to establish an effective project approach to ensure that best practices and methodology are being followed
Instill and support a culture of proactive Client service within our service delivery arm
Work with team leads to monitor on-going work and projects to maintain consistent and timely on-budget and high-quality delivery
Monitor and continuously improve the business processes for each team through analysis and collaboration
Identify and monitor “at risk” projects and programs that could jeopardize current or future opportunities
Responsible for performance of the client teams based on KPIs (Client satisfaction, write-offs, utilization, employee engagement, etc.)
Be involved in long-term team planning, business planning, and client account management, at the managerial and executive level
Work closely with the Director Operations and Client Success to provide detailed estimates for Statements of Work and RFP responses
Collaborate with team Project Managers, Business Leads and Technical Leads to develop team goals in areas of finance, utilization, development, delivery, and individual
Will Chair/Lead the Project Management Office meetings
Encourage a positive work environment and culture for all employees
Conduct Quality Assurance Audits to ensure organizational standards are being met
Primary escalation point to resolve client and or team issues
Education & Training Requirements
Director of Consulting Services candidates must have in-depth knowledge of the consulting industry. Candidates should generally have a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field. Professional certifications in operations management, data analysis, or personnel management are an asset for candidates.
