Front-End Web Developer

Job Description

BSI is looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated by the idea of combining the art of accessible design with the art of programming. As a front-end developer you will be working with a team of strong UI and UX designers, talented back-end developers and business analysts to bridge the gap between graphic design and technical implementation for our clients. You will take an active role on defining how the application looks as well as how it works and communicate your vision directly to client stakeholders. Responsibilities

• • • Translate UI/UX design wireframes into a responsive reality

    • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs

    • Collaborate with team members and client stakeholders

    • Develop new user-facing features

    • Create and maintain a reusable theme framework including code and libraries for future use

Requirements, Technical Skills And Qualifications

• • • 5+ years of web development experience

    • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

    • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

    • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies

    • In depth understanding of Web markup, including, HTML5, CSS3 and SCSS

    • Ability to identify and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues

    • Proficient in implementing sites that are WCAG 2.0 compliant

    • Good understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery

    • Experience in SEO principles and ensuring applications adhere to them

    • Basic understanding of ASP.NET Themes, Visual Studio, Git and design tools such as Photoshop and Sketch

Bonus Points

• • • UX/UI design experience

    • Consulting or agency experience

    • iMIS experience

    • Created/maintained complex SCSS structures
